Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy Radio Show Moves to 760 AM, Nashville’s Only ‘America First’ Newstalk Station

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy, the radio show produced by the state’s leading conservative media company, begins broadcasting Monday, December 11 on Nashville’s newest conservative talk station 760 AM WENO “The Flame,” Nashville’s only America First newstalk station.

The Tennessee Star Report moves to its new home after a five-year run on TalkRadio 98.3 and 1510 WLAC. The show is produced by Star News Digital Media, the parent company of The Tennessee Star conservative news website.

Host Michael Patrick Leahy said the new partnership with 760 AM gives the show a true home for America First programming. The weekday lineup begins with The John Fredericks Show from 5 am to 9 am, WarRoom with Stephen K. Bannon from 9 am to 11 am, and The Tennessee Star Report with Michael Patrick Leahy from 11 am to 1 pm.

Leahy and Bannon have worked together closely for many years. Leahy was one of the early organizers of the Tea Party Movement when it launched in 2009. In 2012, when Bannon was running Breitbart, he hired Leahy to write for that conservative publication. In 2022, WarRoom and The Star News Networkthe group of state-based conservative news sites owned and operated by Star News Digital Mediaannounced a strategic partnership.

“Media consolidation means there are few truly local news outlets left in Nashville. We are one of the exceptions, and our show will continue its intensely local focus on politics, public policy, and the America First movement,” Leahy said.

Leahy added the show will continue to host the movers and shakers of Tennessee politics and retain a distinctly local focus in its coverage. The show frequently hosts members of the Tennessee General Assembly, and during this year’s Nashville mayoral race interviewed most of the candidates.

“The Tennessee Star Report continues to be a go-to outlet for politicos and elected officials in Tennessee to get their side of the story out to conservative listeners. We are one of the very few radio outlets doing long-form interviews and giving leaders a platform to speak,” Leahy said.

In addition to the Tennessee radio show and website, Star News Digital Media also owns and publishes conservative news websites in 12 other states under the Star banner, including political battleground states like Georgia, Arizona, Virginia, Ohio and Wisconsin.

760 AM switched to a talk format after being purchased by the John Fredericks Media Network, a Virginia-based media company with radio stations in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia. The station in Nashville is operating under the tagline, “Nashville’s Only America First Newstalk Radio Station.”

Star News Digital Media and the John Fredericks Media Network currently have strategic partnerships in Virginia, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, where The Star News Network owns and operates The Virginia Star, The Georgia Star News, and The Pennsylvania Daily Star.

Leahy is the author of Covenant of Liberty: The Ideological Origins of the Tea Party Movement, which was published by Broadside Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, in 2012.
